The HR Industrial Manager in Mississippi will provide guidance and advice to the Plant Manager and supervisors in all aspects of human resources.  This position would plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate all site human resource activities.   They would be expected to manage required recordkeeping, administrative processes, and regulatory and compliance guidelines.

Wage: $75-$95k+/year depending on experience
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related field. 
Years Experience Required:   Industrial HR experience and preferred with wood products. Minimum of 5 years of heavy industrial experience, preferably 3 of those years were Manager of a Human Resources department. Non industrial candidates will not be considered.

  • Responsible for the recruiting, training, and retention of a qualified workforce.
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law (FMLA, ADA, EEO/Affirmative Action), employee relations, training, development, and succession planning.
  • Manage employee coaching, counseling, and problem resolution.
  • Experience in supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees.
  • Capable of managing a fast-paced work environment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to operating managers regarding effective employee investigations.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment where 3 of those years were Manager of a Human Resources department.
